About Mordechai Pinchas - Sofer STa"M
Mordechai Pinchas is my Hebrew name but I'm also known as Marc Michaels. I'm a sofer part of the time. As you will see from my diaries I've been involved with sofrut
for quite some time now, repairing and writing and doing study sessions for various communities in the UK and further afield. I'm also a graphic designer and illustrator and published academic author. I'm a Cambridge scholar, studying for a PhD at FAMES in Jewish Manuscripts (specifically Sefer Tagin).

Whilst I work with both orthodox and progressive communities, I nonetheless conduct my business as a scribe following a closely as I can to the orthodox halacha as defined mostly by the Keset Hasofer, Chasdey David and the Mishna B'rurah.
